Laa Tukum wins Gold at All India Sub-Junior ranking
ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Laa Tukum of Arunachal Pradesh defeated Bidyasagar Salam of Manipur by 21-17 and 21-13 in straight sets to clinch the Gold Under-15 boys' single event in the All India Sub-Junior badminton Ranking Tournament-2016 played at Karnail Singh Badminton Stadium New Delhi on Sunday.
Earlier, Tukum defeated Adhee Gupta of Maharashtra by 21-19, 21-14, Sidhanth Gupta of Tamil Nadu by 21-11, 10-21, 21-13, Ishaan Bhatnagar of Chitistghar by 11-21, 21-16, 21-19, Gautam Walia of Hariyana by 21-16, 21-16, Siddhartha Mishra of Utter Pradesh by 21-19, 21`-16 and in the final with Bidyasagar Salam of Manipur by 21-17 and 21-13. Tukum is currently in India's ranking no. 5 in the boys' single under-15 age group.
Meanwhile, the Arunachal Badminton team comprising of 15 players will be participating in the North East Zonal Inter State Badminton Championship-2016 to be held at Shillong, Meghalaya from October 25 to 28 next. The team of eight boys and seven girls will be accompanied by three officials.
"State rank no. 1 Laa Talar, who is also the three time consecutive winner of the region in the individual men's single event, will miss the forthcoming Zonal championship. It is a setback for the state team," said secretary Arunachal State Badminton Association Bamang Tago in a release.
Laa Talar will be undergoing coaching at Denmark.
Manipur clinches 7th Dr. T Ao Memorial Football Championship Trophy 2016

ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Manipur routed Sikkim 4-0 to clinch 7th Dr. T Ao Memorial Football Championship for the six times with double brace from the highest scorer N. Pritam Singh (10) in finale match played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun on Sunday. Two week long tournament was sponsored by North East Council (NEC) and supported by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier, Manipur thrashed host team Arunachal Pradesh in the semi-final by 7-0 to vie for the trophy in the finale with Sikkim.
Right winger MD Imran Khan (9) broke the deadlock with low curl deflection, tricked Sikkim goalkeeper Pujan Bhutia making the score board 1-0 just in six minutes. However, with master class one-touched passing skill, Sikkim held back advancing Manipur in first half with only a goal.
Manipur turned too ruthless for young players laden Sikkim in second half of the match. With his fine strike in 46 minutes N Pritam Singh added crucial goal on score board, making his 7 goals in individual tally in the tournament. Jersey number 12, S Subash Singh who already played with Mumbai FC in Indian Super League, made the score board 3-0 with his right-foot shot cross nudged by N Pritam Singh (10) in fifty eight minutes.
N. Pritam Singh who was in the form added another goal with close range low shot giving no time to goalkeeper Pujan Bhutia in 62 minutes just after returning from injury. With his second brace, he became highest scorer of the tournament with 8 goals.
Sikkim got opportunity to keep the fight alive in 67 minutes when S Subash Singh committed a foul, however Manipur goalkeeper Lalit Thapa denied the penalty shot from Manoj Rai (10) making Sikkim visibly wilted. Six times champion did not concede any goal to young Sikkim till the final blow of whistle.
Victorious Manipur walked away with the trophy and Rs 7 lakhs cash prize and runner up Sikkim has to content with Rs 4 lakhs cash prize along with trophy.
While former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki handed over the trophy to the captain of winning team, the runner up trophy was given away by Parliamentary Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Nyamar Karbak to Sikkim team with cash prize of rupees four lakhs.
The host team Arunachal Pradesh walked with third place trophy and cash prize of Rs two lakhs.
K Phalguni Singh (7) of Manipur was declared "Man of the Tournament" while N. Pritam Singh won the title of "Highest Scorer" with formidable eight goals in his kitty. Sikkim Goalkeeper Pujan Bhutia was adjudged as Best Goal Keeper. The outstanding individual players were given trophy with cash prizes of Rs ten thousand each.
Among others, Home Minister Kumar Waii, Parliamentary Secretary Tourism, Passang Dorjee Sona, Parliamentary Secretary, Home, Pani Taram, former Member of Parliament, Takam Sanjay, who is also President of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association and Chief Councilor of Itanagar Municipal Council Kipa Kaku were present in the closing ceremony of the tournament.
Arunachal enjoys good relation with Centre: Pema
TAWANG, Oct 23: Stating that Arunachal Pradesh now enjoys good relation with the Centre, Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a good vision for the state, which the people will get to see in the coming days. Also he announced that in the coming financial year, the state would see best people centric budget. Pema was addressing the gathering at a inaugural function of Mahabodhi School and Mahabodhi Siddhartha Children's Home at Mahabodhi Centre at Teli village, funded by ex-MP Dr Ashok Ganguly and the Ministry of Culture, govt. of India respectively.
In order to enable him to devote his best effort in working for a pan Arunachal, Pema Khandu appealed the people of Tawang and West Kameng region to extend cooperation to his government, so that he could equally take care of the development needs of all the districts.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Mahabodhi School and Mahabodhi Siddhartha Children's Home at Mahabodhi Centre, while Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein inaugurated the seismic isolated Mahabodhi Kalyanamitra guesthouse. RWD Parliamentary Secretary, Jambey Tashi inaugurated the Mahabodhi Cultural Hall funded by Rajya Sabha MP, Mukut Mithi.
The Chief Minister appreciated the remarkable infrastructural achievement made by the Mahabodhi centre within eight years of its establishment, with help received through donations and support from the central government.
He assured to help the Mahabodhi establishment starting next financial year and made a personal contribution towards the Mahabodhi society from his personal expenses.
The project with its cost at Rs 85 lakhs is a demonstration project developed jointly by PWD department and IIT Guwahati, wherein the construction concept of confined masonry has been adopted. The Chief Minister appreciated the PWD for using local architectural designs in the building. Lauding it as creative initiative, Khandu appealed Mein, who also heads the PWD ministry to use local architectural designs in all government buildings as way to preserve and promote local culture.
In his address Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein urged the Mohabodhi Society to work beyond the religious activities and to extend their support in development of social sectors like health and education in the state. He requested them not only to confine their activities among the Bhuddist Society but also in other societies across the state in these sectors. He also expressed happiness to learn that the Arunachal University of Studies at Namsai, a private college is introducing Department of Buddhist Studies with Bachelor Degrees in the initial stage, which is encouraging for preservation and promotion of indigenous culture and literature.
The DyCM further said that the state govt is working as Team Arunachal towards over all development of the state emphasizing on innovations in developmental fronts and employment generations for the youths. The Seismic Isolated Kalyanamitra Guest House for Mahabodhi House of Orphan and Old age is one such innovative works where in latest technology of seismic resistant concept of Confined Masonry was adopted and Fibre Reinforced Elastomeric Isolator has been installed in the building to reduce seismic force, he added.
He appealed the people to maintain peace and tranquility saying that peace is prerequisite for development.
On the occasion, a newsletter - Mahabodhi Aaj Tak was released by the Chief Minister Pema Khandu. He also dedicated a documentary on the life of senior citizens, 'The Third Inning' for the Karuna old age home in the Mahabodhi centre. The documentary is sponsored by the family members of former Chief Minister, late Dorjee Khandu and directed by Tsangpa Norbu.
Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, Daporijo MLA Dikto Yekar, DC Tawang Sang Phuntsok and SP Tawang MK Meena were also present on the occasion.

The terms 'SSA' and 'salary' have always been synonymous. Notwithstanding continuous flow of funds from the Government of India, the teachers working under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) have always been in the news for being denied their timely salary. And while promises of regular disbursement of salaries have been made by the govt after all the hue and cry, something had to go amiss. Their hard earned salary for the months of February and March this year has been not paid.
Though SSA teachers in the state have been demanding payment of their due salary for many months now, however, the persisting problem is yet to be addressed by the state government.
"Since beginning, state government has been assuring us that it will be paid. But when", asks Tagru Kasha president All Arunachal Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers' Association (AASSATA) which has been spearheading the issue.
Frustrated with the denial of their deserved income, AASSATA today entered its third phase of democratic movement with seven days of state-wide pen down strike.
"It is our hard earned money. They can't deny us our Right," Kasha added.
On the other hand, the state government has been only giving assurances till now.
"We were paid Rs 70 crores less from the Centre which triggered the crisis. It was a problem created by MHRD which affected not only Arunachal but other states as well but with their own resources, they could pay the salary. However in our case, it is not the same," informed deputy state project director (DySPD) SSA Likha Sampu.
He, however, assured that the state government has sorted out the crisis and that the problem would be solved soon.
"The salaries will be paid by the end of this month," promises the DySPD. In the meantime, while the teachers are still being deprived of their hard earned payment and state government claiming to fulfill it within no time, we would like to think that ours is not a government that only acts tough against absentee SSA teachers by suspending them but which also never denies the Right they deserve.
Financial help sought from East Siang MLAs for power supply to DDSE office

PASIGHAT, Oct 23: The East Siang District Education Officers led by DDSE, Jongge Yirang met all the MLAs of the district recently and appealed them to extend financial help for electricity supply to the DDSE office at two mile.
The Officers said that the MLAs should contribute at least Rs 3 lakh each from their respective MLALAD fund for electricity connection so that the DDSE office which was shifted at two mile could discharge its function in effective and time bound manner.
While personally visiting the MLAs, DDSE Jongge Yirang stated that, the working efficiency of the DDSE office is badly affected due to absence of electricity connection. The power connection from a distance of 1.5 KM road requires minimum of 15 Poles and a separate transformer with capacity of not below 100 KVA to electrify the office, Shikshak Sadan, one Upper Pry. School and 20 families living in the DDSE office campus, Yirang added.
While responding to the appeal, the MLAs expressed their solidarity with the concern of the DDSE and consented to contribute from their respective MLALAD fund. Nari-Koyu MLA Kento Rina has immediately sanctioned an amount of Rs. 3 lakhs while Lambo Tayeng, MLA Mebo cum Advisor to CM has handed over a cheque of Rs. 3 lakks from his own source, informed Yirang to this reporter.
The estimated cost prepared by the power department is Rs. 25.00 lakhs which is too high for the Education Department. Moreover, no proposal was kept in budget estimate of 2016-17 by the Department, so there is no hope during this financial year and DDSE office cannot wait for another year, added Yirang
Finding no other alternative, estimates were prepared on market price of Dibrugarh and Gawahati which comes around Rs. 12 lakhs. So DDSE and his team requested all the MLAs of the district to contribute in cash so that the works can be taken up immediately by the Education Department by constituting a Board of Officers. DDSE has expressed his gratitude to all the MLAs of the District for their support and showing faith on him for making the office more digitally efficient.
Mechukha gearing up for Adventure@Mechukha
ITANAGAR, Oct 23: If you crave for nature, adventure sports and live music, then Adventure@Mechukha at picturesque Mechukha valley in West Siang is the right place. The three-day event featuring various adventure and sports activities such as rappelling, mountain biking, quad biking, trekking, paragliding, river crossing, rafting etc takes place in the valley from November 7 to 9 every year.
Commenced in 2013 under the leadership of the then Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism-cum-local MLA Pasang Dorjee Sona, the festival is a calendar event and has become a crowd-puller with adventure sports lovers gradually coming to the place to experience adrenaline rush at its best from across the country.
Meanwhile, the final round of meeting for the fourth edition of Adventure@Mechukha was held at Mechukha recently under the chairmanship of ADC Mechukha involving all stakeholders. Chairing the meeting,
the ADC sought full cooperation from each and every individual to make the festival a grand success for which the members present unanimously agreed.
The market community was suggested to keep their surroundings neat and clean besides installing dustbin compulsory in front of every shop. The shopkeepers were also directed to maintain uniform paint/colour of their shops to give a better look. DC for early solution to RoW issues for highway works at Aalo
AALO, Oct 23: The West Siang Deputy Commissioner Gamli Padu called a meeting with BRTF, TK Engineering, T.L Theotech project services, Rail Tel and KCL in connection with Right of Way issues to facilitate construction of Trans Arunachal highway at his office chamber on Oct 22.
The DC reiterated that that due to lack of coordination among various executing agencies and service providers like BSNL, Airtel etc. and department of PHED and Power, pace of work is not going at the expected pace and the government is mounting pressure on the status of road works. He asked the Rail Tel authority to obtain NOC from the respective executing agencies for laying underground cable along the roadside and gave specific instructions to verify the underground cable works as per specifications and guidelines to avoid damages during highway construction. A monitoring team will be constituted soon to assess the underground cable works and detail report on quality of works will be submitted to the authority concern.
District Level Committee involving representative from District Administration, Line Departments, BRO, Executing Agencies and Services Providers will soon be constituted to sort out the problems faced by each other. The DC has also asked the PHED and Power to shift their water pipes and electrical poles to appropriate locations within a week as compensations have already been paid to them.
DLRSO Takam Titus insisted that all agencies of Highway works to get their strips of land notified to avoid future complicacies in taking up their projects.

Indo-Bhutan Friendship Car Rally 2016 flagged off
TAWANG, Oct 23: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday flagged-off the Indo-Bhutan Friendship Car Rally 2016, that would cover a distance of more than 1000 km and culminate in Bhutan's capital, Thimpu.
The rally is organised by International Friendship Car Rally Association (IFCRA) and supported by state's tourism department and Bhutan India Friendship Association (BIFA) to strengthen relations between the two neighbours.
The rally with the theme - 'Reconnect and strengthen the age old historical linkage, cultural and linguistic affinities between Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan' is being participated by more than 20 participants from Australia, Portugal, Bhutan and India.

John Abraham suggests academy for promotion of sports
TAWANG, Oct 23: Bollywood actor John Abraham, the 'brand ambassador' for Arunachal Tourism who arrived here at the Tawang festival ground suggested the state government for establishment of an sports academy for the North East United FC. He further said that international marathon club could be set up in the state.
The actor extended his thank to the people of the state and the government for choosing him as the brand ambassador for the state and for supporting his activities for well being of Arunachal in particular and North East in general.
Earlier, Chief Minister Pema Khandu accorded a warm welcome to Bollywood actor, John Abraham on his arrival at Tawang on Sunday.
The Chief Minister said the actor has great feelings for the North East. His feeling for the region is demonstrated through his keen interest in promoting North East talents outside the region, who owns a football club with the name - North East United FC.
Khandu was speaking to a large gathering in the Tawang festival ground, while introducing the actor to the crowd.
The Chief Minister said John is also keen to shoot films in Arunachal, to which the state government is ready to extend any kind of support and service that is needed.
Pema Khandu expressed hope that together with the actor, they should be able to promote Arunachal as one of the hot tourist destinations in the country and conveyed that people of Arunachal has now high hopes and expectations from him.
The Chief Minister also welcomed the representatives from the renowned international tour operator, Cox and Kings Tours & Travels, and said that the state has started to join hands with renowned world agencies and business house for active tourism promotion in Arunachal.
MAE FC to face Kabu SC in last 4

AALO, Oct 23: MAE FC on Sunday thrashed Sora Bros FC by 5-0 and will face Kabu SC, who earlier beat Memo United FC by a solitary goal, in the second semi-final of the first Binga Ete Memorial Football Tournament, 2016.
Playing attacking football, MAE FC completely dominated the match played at Aalo general ground here, from start to finish.
Sora Bros FC strikers, however, showed glimpse of their brilliance in the dying stages of the match but it could not translate into goals.
Star striker Jumdo Padu scored three goals while two goals came from Baken Ete.
Earlier, Kabu SC entered the semi-final via a penalty shootout against Memo United FC.
Both teams were tied 2-2 in regulation time.
Dakto Doji scored both the goals for Memo United FC, while Ginjom Loya and Kito Loya equalized for Kabu SC.
In the penalty shoot-out, Karnya Doji, Nyago Doji, Dakto Doji scored from the spot while Marnya Doji and Geli Doji missed the target.
For Kabu SC, Liyom Loya, Reken Loyi, Kito Loya and Mickey Loya scored while Ginjom Loyi missed the target.
Kabu SC won the match by 4-3 goals to enter the semi-final.
On Monday, last years' DSA champion, Jummi Combats FC Bene will face SFS FC in the first semi-final, to book a place in the October 27 final.

Chera Talo remembered
ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Former Minister and social worker Late Chera Talo was remembered on his 13th death anniversary on Sunday. Floral tributes were paid to the late leader at his final resting place at Jully here.
Talo who was elected from Koloriang constituency for the first time in 1978, served the state as deputy speaker (1985-90), power minister ( 1990-95) and later as Chairman of APIDFC. He held various positions in the Congress party. Born in 1951, he passed away on Oct 23, 2003 leaving behind his wife and five children.
Resonance’16 concludes at SCCZ
ZIRO, Oct 23: Saint Claret College Ziro’s (SCCZ) traditional week-long art, literary, cultural and sports festival - Resonance’16 – concluded with the Fearless Ninjas making a fairy tale come-from-behind victory to claim the Championship. The Flying Knights, short by three points became the runner’s up team while the Brave Gladiators and the Powerful Vikings were placed at third and fourth positions respectively.
The week of Resonance, besides presenting the audience with a varied accomplishment of extra and co-curricular activities, also ventured into another major festive innovation named ‘Gastronomia’ a food and fun festival held primarily to raise funds for charity. Six departments of the college— English, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, History, and Mass Communication took turns to put up their food stalls on different days of Resonance, offering a glimpse into their culinary skills and creative marketing strategies as well as catering to the taste buds of the Claretines.
The department of Mass Communication covered the entire event that lasted three half days and six full days through the ‘Resonance Post’, the daily news digest of Resonance.
Fearless Ninjas emerged as the group champion. The individual championship awards were won by Hemant Toppo (men) and DebiaYopu (women).
12th Maha Kathina Civara Dana celebration at Diyun Bana Vihar concludes
DIYUN, Oct 23: The 12th Maha Kathina Civara Dana celebration concluded at Bana Vihar, Diyun with offering of Civara/robes to the monks.
Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Management cum local MLA Nikh Kamin and thousands of Theravada Buddhists belonging to the Chakma tribe attended the celebration which is the most important religious festival of the Chakmas at Bana Vihar, Diyun.
The monks who were invited from Sri Lanka, Thailand and Japan were led by Guru, Venerable Nandapal Mahathera.
The robes were weaved overnight and ended early in next morning by more than 1000 Chakma women.
Venerable Nandapal Mahathera preached the five precepts to the people gathered in a separate sermon on the first night of the two day religious event.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Nikh Kamin called on all Chakmas to strictly follow the five precepts as preached by the Venerable Nandapal Mahathera for peace and social development within the society.
The Bana Vihara located in Jyostnapur Village of Diyun is the largest Buddhist monastery complex for the Chakmas in Arunachal Pradesh. Established in 2003, it was founded by the chief disciple of the Venerable Sadhananda Mahathera, popularly as Bana Bhante, the "forest monk", Venerable Nandapal Mahathera. The temple which promotes deep penance and meditation in forest claimed that with the coming of the Nandapal Mahathera, there is a sweeping decrease in consumption of alcohol, among the Chakmas and even the practice of animal sacrifice have reduced drastically.
Other events of the festival included hoisting of world Buddhist flag, Dhamma discourse, colourful procession, opening of Kathina Civara weaving centre, cultural programmes, illumination of candle, acceptance of Pancha-sila and releasing of Penace (Hot Air Ballons).
ATAEKDU to extend full support to AASSATA strike
ITANAGAR, Oct 23: The East Kameng District unit of Arunachal Teachers' Association (ATA) has decided to extend full support to the seven days pen down strike being called by the AASSATA CEC from Oct 24. It further condemned the reported decision of the CEC ATA to extend support to the AASSATA strike only for two days on Oct 28 and 29 as double standard.

Keep army out of politics
In the political battle over nationalism issue, unfortunately Indian army is getting
caught in between. Ever since Uri attack took place followed by surgical strike against
terrorists inside the Pakistan territory by Indian army, demands has been growing
for boycotting Pakistani artistes and Chinese products. Especially there has been
growing chorus for banning Pakistani artistes in Bollywood. Maharasthra Navnirman
Sena (MNS) led by Raj Thackeray had refused to allow film featuring Pakistani actor
to be released. The Sena had begun its protest after tension between India and Pakistan
escalated following surgical strikes and ceasefire violations on the border.
On Saturday Filmmaker Karan Johar had to strike a truce with MNS to ensure release
of his movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan because
of which MNS has been warning to disrupt its release. Party chief Raj Thackeray said
producers who have signed Pakistani actors will have to pay Rs 5 crore as “penance”
for army welfare. MNS ended its protests against the film after Johar gave in to
the party’s “atonement” demands. However Indian Army officials have made clear their
displeasure clear at being dragged into the controversy. As per report in section
of national media army is not pleased with this demand of the MNS. Many serving and
retired army officers while talking to various media houses have expressed displeasure
over politics being done by dragging army into the issue. The armed forces have taken
right decision by going public with their displeasure. It is very wrong on the part
of political parties to use army for political gain. Indian army always prided itself
for being an apolitical and secular organization. Its image should not be tarnished
by politicians to score political goals. Let army quietly do their job without being
dragged into unnecessary controversy.

Hospital without doctor
Dear Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to appeal the head of Medical
Department regarding doctor in Govt. Hospital, Tuting, Upper Siang.
Since first week of August till no, there is no doctor. There are many serious patients
but no doctor in the Govt. Hospital.
Sometimes under such situation, patients have to take medicine as per prescription
given by medical staff who have little knowledge about disease.
Patients are compelled to come down to Pasighat, Itanagar or Assam' Hospitals for
medical treatment by spending huge amount of money. It is justified to say that we
have Govt. Hospital but for name sake as it does not serve the patients.
It forces us to visit nearest hospital who can give us minimum medical facilities
and local people of this area considers Pasighat as nearest one. Having minimum facilities,
it takes two days to reach Pasighat.
Because of such long journey, many patients have died on the way to Pasighat including
pregnant women. There are many strange cases wherein poor patients had to sale out
their properties in order to meet with up with travel, hotel and food expenses as
98% people of this area is living below poverty line.
If there were doctors in Tuting, many patients would have survived and money saved.
It has been reported that a doctor who have been posted to Tuting is refusing to
join his duty because it is an interior place. Tuting is not the only place where
doctor have refused to join duty even after several request. such kind of problem
can be found everywhere in interior places of Arunachal Pradesh.
What may be reason for refusing to join duty in interior places? For me reasons are:
there is no scope of opening clinic, pharmacy and they cannot work in other private
hospitals after attending govt. hospital duty.
I appeal to Government and higher authority of medical department of Arunachal to
look into the matter seriously as to why Govt. Hospital, Tuting is running without
doctor and come up with proper solution forthwith.

Lacks of rooms in Arunachal Bhavan
Dear Editor,
I recently visited Delhi for treatment of my ailing brother. When I reached Arunachal
Bhawan for a room for me and my ailing brother, I was told that there is no vacant
room in Bhawan and the employee told me to stay in nearby hotel. Since, I had come
there on medical ground; I did not have enough money to pay for the expensive hotels.
So, I requested the authorities to adjust us even if it is an office room but they
refused telling us that it is not possible. When enquired, I came to know that most
of the rooms in bhawan are occupied by big shots and OSDs. I wonder what is the need
for so many OSDs, most of whom are stated to be from education department when we
have acute shortage of teachers in Arunachal.
Further, few rooms were made office for some departments, one of which was for Hydro
Power department. I was told that there are SE, EE, AE office, JE rooms with their
supporting staffs of Hydro Power department in the Bhawan. I wonder what is the use
of so many offices of Hydro Power at Delhi? Are they kept for the service to the
high ranking officials from state visiting national capital? One of the officials
told me that these engineers take deposit work from other states in Kendra Vidyalaya
Sangathan and do the works. Don't they have work in Arunachal? Only one AE is more
than sufficient if it is for laisioning with some offices at capital.
I urge the Govt. to shift the un-necessary offices like Hydro Power SE & EE offices
and OSDs from the Bhawan back to Arunachal since we have insufficient man-power here
at Arunachal and at the same time, it will facilitate poor people to be accommodated
at Arunachal Bhawan who come especially for medical purposes. Hope the welfare Govt.
will look into the welfare of its people.

Reality of the leaders
Dear Editor,
Every now and then, we often come across with a new formation of a group, association
or a union that are called an NGO, welfare organisation or a democratic entity. They
are known and informed to us when so called Chairman/President or a G.S visit us
in the office for donations by threatening or in the Paper proclaiming themselves
as the Highest authority for calling bandh /blockade, or in the villages/towns presenting
themselves as the saviour/ messiah of the Societies. This activity is going-on everywhere.
But in Arunachal Pradesh, called as "the Land of Khusi, Khusi” by a notable person,
we find a president/G.S, so called a leader/post holder of A, B, C organization in
every step. I think this condition is like an epidemic in Arunachal. Every person
wants to lead and be in number one position. It's a remarkable commitment to lead,
but reality is not as we think. There is a much-ulterior motives going on with our
leaders. As soon as an Officer acquires the DDO power, one turns more foxy, so our
leader who begins to think the group's resources and activities as their own/personal
articles, they in the common pursuit, gets their own work-done using the resources
and privileges given to a leader. Our History says that- it is the so called leader
and path-finders who manipulate us a lot, even much more than our enemies and opponents.
Let's be a learned, responsible, well-aware ever-ready member of the society to question.
Let's be ready and well-prepared to encounter our own fellow-friends who has turned
corrupt and insensible and irresponsible. It is on us to make the system correct.

No politics in health and education department
Dear Editor,
Through your esteem daily, I would like to make earnest request to the political
leaders, government officers and powerful people of society regarding recruitment
especially in health and education department.
There should be no politics in recruiting as it is said that education is the backbone
of society. Nation’s wealth is fully depend on how literate and educated its citizens
are.
And health is the first priority of every nation and its growth.
As per as possible we should recruit genuine and meritorious candidate for better
future of society, state and Nation.
